Waxman Candles started making what we refer to as “environmentals” in the late 80’s. Inspired by the beautiful dried flowers and abundant potpourri blends we encountered while visiting retail trade shows in NYC. There have been many themes in our environmental candle line over the years that have incorporated various dried materials such as flower petals, herbs, wheat stalks, evergreens and birch bark.

In this 6 person workshop we will demonstrate how to wick, pick, pack and pour –

• Wick your scented candle insert into the metal mold
• Pick from our selection of dried botanicals and create your custom design
• Pack your selected materials around the candle insert
• Pour liquid wax into the finished packed mold to create the “shell”

Each participant will be provided with all materials and tools needed but feel free to bring your own natural dried materials. Materials must be completely dry to prevent mold from growing due to trapped moisture.

Please take note that the candles do require further processing such as removal from mold, cleaning and leveling. They will be ready for pick-up on Monday, December, 16th after 2pm.

Registration closes at 12pm on Thursday, December, 12th so we can get your selected fragrance insert columns poured for the workshop.
